Dunk Island

Wilderness Cruise

A short journey south of Dunk Island, is Rockingham Bay. One of Queensland's biggest bays, it is home to three large mangrove river systems, the Hull, Tully, and Murray Rivers.

Join us on a late afternoon trip to explore one of these river systems.

Departing Dunk Island at approximately 4.00pm (time varies through the year), we cruise the late afternoon into one of these rivers. Time for a look at birdlife, forests and other spectacular natural sights. We then return to the river mouth for a campfire with old fashioned Australian billy tea and damper. After dark we put some time into searching the river for those fire red eyes of the esturine crocodiles, fishlife and snakes, before returning in time for dinner.

This cruise is seasonal, so please enquire early.
